⚲ Travel Diary : Montreal

Updated: Aug 2, 2018

Last week we took a quick trip to Montreal for Kyle’s job. He typically flies solo on these short trips, but I decided to tag along because I love Montreal! I have visited several times, and each time I manage to discover a new eatery or hotel I’m in love with! Here is a roundup of where we stayed and what we ate.

We stayed at the Shearton Hotel Downtown and it was the perfect location. It was a two minute walk from all the shopping on St. Catherine Street and super close to some great bars and restaurants. We have stayed here on previous Montreal trips, and it has never disappointed!

Beir Market is consistently one of my go-tos in both Toronto and Montreal. They have over 150 different beers and most of them are on tap. If you are looking for a solid burger and a casual night out this is a great place!

La Champagnerie in Old Montreal has one of the longest lists of private imports, for all tastes and budgets. Upon request, Champagne bottles can be slashed by customers on site! Not only is their Champagne fantastic, but the food is equally incredible. I highly recommend their Poutine and house made bubbly!

Schwartz's Deli is a Montreal classic landmark that has been in business since 1928 and has welcomed celebrities and visitors from all over the world. They offer their original Hebrew Delicatessen smoked meats and french fries.Montreal is a wonderful cultural hub with French influence. If you are into food, fashion, art and music this is a must visit city, even if you only have a few days to visit!
